He completed his BA in graphic design at Mashad University, his MA in graphic design at Modares University and a PhD in the Philosophy of Art from Shahroud University (all in Iran). He is the founder and director of the Maa Art Residency based in Kerman, Iran and is a curator affiliated with the Kerman Contemporary Art Museum.<\/p><p>He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Media and Culture Studies at Utrecht University in the Netherlands and member of the Amsterdam-based artist collective DARKMATTER. His artistic interests are very diverse but generally focus on various aspects of Iranian cultural life and sociology, especially gender, race and ethnicity, sexuality, law, nationalism, religion and history.<\/p><p>As an Iranian photographer, video and installation artist with a passion for capturing the aesthetic and cultural complexities of life in contemporary Iran, Moghadam\u2019s work has been shown in four solo and more than twenty group exhibitions.
